Literary Program
The ArtsXchange Literary Program is a vibrant and inclusive platform that reflects our unwavering dedication to community engagement and literacy. We endeavor to cultivate a thriving literary community that nurtures creativity and fosters a love for the arts in all its forms.
Our intergenerational approach to literacy bridges generations and cultures through reading, writing, and spoken word. Our 55+ writing workshops support ongoing creative work while fostering mental well-being. Monthly Xchange Open Mic/Slams offer inclusive platforms for expression. Playing Our Words engages families with storytelling and poetry through word games, while our Scrabble Club encourages strategic language play. Coloring Conversations merges art and dialogue to promote connection across divides. Collectively, these programs enhance literacy, build confidence, and attract a diverse, intergenerational audience.

Theresa Davis
Literary Program Director
Theresa Davis is an educator, storyteller, poet, author, poetry slam champion and the host of the award winning open mic Java Speaks. She has performed on stages across the nation as a poet and keynote speaker. She was a classroom teacher for over 25 years, specializing in cross curricular education.
