About the Program

Today’s teens are growing up in a world driven by content, creativity, and constant communication. This makes their ability to tell stories, design visuals, and forge meaningful connections more important than ever. At the ArtsXchange, our creative career courses in music, writing, and visual design, offered in the spring, summer, and fall, provide young people with more than just activities to fill their time after school or during breaks; they equip them with essential life skills.

Through hands-on workshops led by professional artists, students aged 11 to 18 learn how to write and record original songs, design zines and sneakers, create photo essays, and express their ideas on stage, on the page, and on screen. They practice collaboration, public speaking, and problem-solving while building friendships and discovering new facets of themselves in a supportive, community-centered environment.

Parents can feel confident knowing that these programs are grounded in research on youth arts engagement and well-being. High-quality arts programs help young people reduce stress, build confidence, and envision real futures in creative industries that employ more than 5 million workers nationwide. The ArtsXchange is dedicated to making these opportunities accessible to as many young creatives as possible, offering limited need-based scholarships for all one-week camps, one story, one song, and one design at a time.
