Xchange Open Virtual Mic - 8/13/21

We have all been struggling in our own ways, as communities, and as a  nation. The ArtsXchange offers this virtual space as a place of healing  and community. Join us for our monthly open mic, from the comfort of  your own home. Feel free to participate or listen.

This is a space  to share your stories, songs, poems, or upcoming events. This is not a  space for homophobia, racism, sexism, trans-phobia, or hate-speech. We  will have features periodically and they will be announced soon.

This open-mic is specifically for performers aged 18+

Mic opens at 8pm.

This Open mic will take place on the Zoom platform.

Theresa Davis 

Theresa   Davis is an educator, storyteller, poet, author, poetry slam champion,  and the host of the award-winning open mic Java Speaks. She has  performed on stages across the nation as a poet and keynote speaker. She  was a classroom teacher for over 25 years, specializing in  cross-curricular education. As a slam poet, Theresa has competed  individually and on teams for over a decade and in 2011 won the Women of  the World  Poetry Slam.
