Xchange Open Mic feat. Jonathan Brown

It's a double feature of Jonathan Brown this weekend at the ArtsXchange!

We're happy to have him as the feature poet for Friday's Xchange Open Mic at 8 p.m. And, he'll lead a writers workshop at 2 p.m. Saturday! Each event is $5 online or at the door.

Jonathan Brown is a poet and musician based out of New Orleans. He was a high school English teacher for 8 years. Then he quit his job and hit the road. He played over 120 shows on the road for four solid years. And then Covid happened and he had to learn to sit still.

Jonathan Brown holds a BA in Communication from the College of Charleston, an MA in Writing and Consciousness from then New College of California, and an MFA from the University of New Orleans.

His work has been published in The Worcester Review, The Nashville Review, and National Public Radio.  He has a cat named Pianos and a dog named Soda Pop.
