Wednesday Writers Workshop | 8-9:30 p.m. | In the Gallery & Virtual | $5

Join us for an ekphratic experience as we explore the energetically moving artwork of Oscar Harris’ celebration of Jazz and Spirituality. Combining images, titles and music let’s create our own short stories or poems. This workshop will be hybrid. In-person attendees will have an opportunity to select any image in this collection, online participants will only have access to two.

The Jack Sinclair Gallery is located in the ArtsXchange at 2148 Newnan Street, East Point , Ga. 30344. $5 Suggested donation and pay what you can options.

All you need to join us is registration and your favorite writing implements. I can’t wait to share the brilliant works by Oscar Harris, adorning the walls of the Jack Sinclair Gallery at the ArtsXchange.

Our Facillitator

Theresa Davis is a published author and National Poetry Slam Champion. She has performed nationally and internationally opening conferences and concerts for two decades. Her book "After This We Go Dark" published by Sibling Rivalry Press, became an American Library Association Honoree, and the book can now be checked out in local and college libraries around the world. Her latest poetry collection “Drowned: A Mermaid’s Manifesto”, released with Sibling Rivalry Press, in fall of 2016 received the award “Ten Books All Georgians Should Read”. In addition to being a teaching artist and outreach poetry coordinator for Georgia Tech for 6 years, Theresa has facilitated workshops at college and universities in the US and classrooms all over the world in person and virtually.
