About the Event

Celebrate #BlackMusicMonth with a conversation that illuminates the pivotal role of Black music in social movements. Why is it important to encourage and empower through music? How do we repopularize many musicians’ impact on defining Black identity? Join the conversation moderated by Tenisio Seanima aka DJ 5th Wurld; with panelists, Theresa Tha SONGBIRD, poet & award-winning children’s author; Bilal Sunni Ali, activist & world-renowned saxophonist; and Grammy winner Professor Griff, cultural educator & member of Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame group Public Enemy.
