Lisa Tuttle

Classes will explore the ways that images and written texts can work together to tell stories and family memories more fully - literally and poetically.

This class series will

  • cover terms that are useful when talking about visual art and photographs, such as line, shape, color, value, texture, form and space.

  • help students gain an appreciation of  the difference between visual thinking and verbal thinking.

  • teach several mixed media techniques, including collage, photo transfers, hand-coloring black and white photos, simple printmaking, the use of stencils and some digital processes.

  • aid students in producing a minimum of two artworks that can be passed on to family members and future generations, explaining the importance (even the existence) of ancestors, family members, culture and/or traditions.

This series is for: Adults - Seniors
