This event is for all ages. Families of all kinds with children are encouraged to attend together.
This performance is part of the National Association of Black Storytellers’ Adopt-A-Teller Community Outreach Program (AATP). AATP is being held during the 43rd Annual National Black Storytelling Festival and Conference based at Embassy Suites Centennial Olympic Park, November 19-23, 2025. The festival is sponsored by the National Association of Black Storytellers, Inc. and supported by a grant, the Nora Roberts Foundation, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and NABS Legacy Fundraising Campaign.

About Shanta Nurullah
Shanta Nurullah is a storyteller, musician, teaching artist, producer and writer whose work is rooted in Black history and culture and pointed toward a harmonious future.
Shanta has presented storytelling programs and workshops in schools, libraries, colleges, churches, festivals, prisons and many other places where people gather and listen. Career highlights include the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, TN, nine iterations of the National Black Storytelling Festival and Conference, the Illinois, Michigan, Nebraska and Las Vegas Storytelling Festivals, and at the headquarters of National Geographic.
