Spring Fling Poetry Slam 4-13-24

Join us for the Spring Fling $1,000 Poetry Slam at the ArtsXchange on April 13, 2024, here's some information to help you prepare:

Event Details:

• Date and Time: April 13, 2024
• Venue: ArtsXchange, Robeson Theater
• Start Time: 8:00 pm
• Doors Open and List Posting: 7:30 pm

Poetry Slam Rules:

• Competition Format: Winner-takes-all/ cumulative score
• Rounds: 3 rounds
• Time Limit per Poet: 3 minutes
• Number of Competing Poets: 12
• Judges: 5 judges will determine the winner
• Restrictions: No props, no music, only original work allowed

Prize:

• The poet with the most points of the evening's slam will win $1,000.00
• 2nd place $200.00
• 3rd place $100.00

Ticket Information:

• Advance Tickets: $15
• At the Door: $20

Tips for Participants:

• Bring your A-game, as it's a winner-takes-all competition.
• Ensure your poetry is within the 3-minute time limit.
• Remember, no props, no music, and only original work are allowed.
