Monthly writer's workshop hosted by Theresa Davis. The Writer’s Workshops will focus on different genres of writing from fiction to poetry.
Poetry Slam Special
Poetry Slams are happening all over the world, join us for this special Slam Performance Workshop with Java Speaks Slam Manager Daryl Funn and national Poetry Slam Champion Theresa Davis. This is an opportunity to receive feedback and coaching for the upcoming slam season in the metro area including the ArtsXchanges 1,000 slam this April in celebration of National Poetry Month.

Our Facillitator
Theresa Davis is a published author and National Poetry Slam Champion. She has performed nationally and internationally opening conferences and concerts for two decades. Her book "After This We Go Dark" published by Sibling Rivalry Press, became an American Library Association Honoree, and the book can now be checked out in local and college libraries around the world. Her latest poetry collection “Drowned: A Mermaid’s Manifesto”, released with Sibling Rivalry Press, in fall of 2016 received the award “Ten Books All Georgians Should Read”. In addition to being a teaching artist and outreach poetry coordinator for Georgia Tech for 6 years, Theresa has facilitated workshops at college and universities in the US and classrooms all over the world in person and virtually.
