Music in Common is an Atlanta-based, globally serving nonprofit whose mission is to strengthen, empower, and connect communities. Music in Common curates experiences for people across social divides to find common ground through music and facilitated conversation. Since 2005, MIC has directly served over 10,000 people in more than 400 communities worldwide.

To celebrate their 20 years of powerful bridge-building work, Music in Common will embark on a multi-city tour that culminates with a final performance at ArtsXChange in East Point, GA. The event will feature a film screening of MIC’s Black Legacy Project, a musical celebration of Black history to advance racial harmony, bridge-building, and partnership, followed by a concert of songs from around the world written in Music in Common’s programs, including the Black Legacy Project.

The event is co-presented by ArtsXChange and Music in Common, and made possible by support from South Fulton Arts, Fulton County Arts and Culture, Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta, and the Georgia Council for the Arts.
