Our black box theater bears the name of groundbreaking thespian, singer and activist Paul Robeson. Celebrate his birthday (April 9, 1898) and discover inspiration for the role of Black men in these difficult times, with reflections on his art and activism, and the role of Black men in the arts today, featuring panelists:
Jim Alexander, historic photographer, The Jim Alexander Collection;
Victor Love, actor & founder of Evolv Atlanta Acting Studio;
Chris McCord, founder, Men in Motion & Moving in the Spirit;
Noah Washington, playwright/founder, Meadowlark Pictures & writer at FanBase;

ABOUT PAUL ROBESON
Paul Robeson was the epitome of the 20th-century Renaissance man. He was an exceptional athlete, actor, singer, cultural scholar, author, and political activist. His talents made him a revered man of his time, yet his radical political beliefs all but erased him from popular history.
